A famous bald eagle has passed away after receiving intensive care. The eagle, known as Jackie, was the matriarch of a bald eagle pair in Southern California. She had been fighting for her life after a confrontation with rival eagles.

The Ojai Raptor Center provided care for Jackie, but her condition continued to decline despite treatment. The center's veterinary team and specialists worked together to try and save her, but unfortunately, she remained critically ill.
